has yet to play a snap in the NFL, but that's not stopping one Browns assistant from setting the bar high from the start. And it's not regarding the former Paramus Catholic star's defensive ability, but rather his potential to become a special teams star.
Browns special teams coordinator Chris Tabor was among those most excited on draft night, when Cleveland opted to select Peppers with the 25th overall pick in the first round of the NFL Draft. Recently, Tabor offered his thoughts on the former Michigan do-it-all man, comparing him to an all-time great.
“The way [Peppers is] built, he kind of reminds me a little bit in the Cribbsy mold,” Tabor said, referring to former Browns special teams star Josh Cribbs, a three-time Pro Bowler who returned eight kickoffs for touchdowns in his career, tied for most in NFL history.
