The Giants made three thrifty veteran free-agent signings this spring.
Safety Duke Ihenacho, defensive end Devin Taylor and defensive tackle Corbin Bryant were all signed to veteran minimum contracts during the offseason program, according to the NFLPA salary database.
Each player has a base salary of $775,000 and they were signed using the minimum salary benefit (MSB), which is a clause in the collective bargaining agreement that lowers the salary cap charge of players with four or more years of experience who sign minimum contracts. The MSB was created so teams wouldn't be discouraged from signing veteran players to fill out their rosters.
