New York Giants rookie running back Tyrone Tracy was carted off the field with an apparent lower leg injury during Tuesday’s practice.

Tracy suffered the injury after bobbling a kickoff and then getting twisted up while trying to gather the ball before it struck the ground. Tracy’s right leg appeared to buckle. He left the field in the cart with an air cast on his leg.

The Giants announced that Tracy “will be undergoing further imaging at HSS (the Hospital for Special Surgery) for a more comprehensive evaluation.”

The initial findings seem to be that Tracy's injury isn't as bad as initially feared.
