A multi-vehicle collision involving at least two semi trucks shut down both southbound lanes of Interstate 15 near Roy on Tuesday.
According to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden, the incident occurred soon after 11 a.m., with trucks obstructing the southbound I-15 lanes in Roy. The accident, he claimed, caused no injuries, but it did necessitate a hazardous materials cleanup.
Although it was pouring at the time, it was unclear what caused the incident. The accident is still being investigated.
To allow motorists to skip the cleaning, the highway was stopped at the 5600 South exit in Roy, causing traffic delays of nearly 15 minutes.
