Maybe the heavy workload finally is catching up to Jason Pierre-Paul. The star defensive end missed Wednesday’s practice with a groin injury and it’s uncertain if he will do anything Thursday, either.
“We’ll be smart with him,” coach Ben McAdoo said. “We’ll take it slow.”
If Pierre-Paul can’t play Sunday against the Ravens, the Giants would likely rotate his three backups: rookie Romeo Okwara, Kerry Wynn and Owa Odighizuwa.
The 27-year-old Pierre-Paul has played 351 of a possible 365 snaps this year, though he did sit out nine plays in Sunday’s loss to the Packers. He has one sack, a forced fumble and 24 tackles on the season.
