The thing about a dink-and-dunk offense is it requires long drives to move the ball.
And the thing about long drives is every play becomes an opportunity for disaster to strike in the form of a sack, a penalty, a turnover or lost yardage. Because the Giants aren't making enough big plays to offset the damage, the negative plays are drive-killers.
In other words, an offense that makes gaining first downs — let alone scoring points — seem difficult is making the job even tougher with poor starting field position.
