Former Giants coach Tom Coughlin will be introduced Thursday as the Jaguars' new executive vice president of football operations.
How much power does that position give him? Full control, by all indications.
Newly-promoted head coach Doug Marrone will report to Coughlin, as will general manager Dave Caldwell, who previously had control over the roster, according to The Florida Times-Union. Coughlin is expected to have final say on the 53-man roster, and he will report to owner Shad Khan.
Before he won two Super Bowls with the Giants, Coughlin was the Jaguars' first head coach and general manager, coaching the team from 1995-2002.
