Here’s the Giants’ most improved player, per PFF

With the 2020 NFL regular season winding down, it looks like the New York Giants may have found their center for the next several years.

Pro Football Focus has Giants third-year center Nicks Gates as the most improved player on the team this season with a 70.1 pass block grade. His pass blocking grade ranks him 11th among centers in the NFL since week 7. Gate’s overall PFF grade this season is a 57.3.

The Giants signed Gates as an undrafted rookie in 2018 out of the University of Nebraska. I don’t think anyone on the outside thought that he would be the Giants’ starting center at this point in the season and that he would be playing as well as he has.
