New York Giants’ rookie safety Xavier McKinney had to wait a long time for his first NFL snaps after suffering a broken foot in training camp and it looks like he was on pace to have the best season of any other rookie safety in the league.
As you can see in the tweet below, Pro Football Focus says that he would have been the highest graded rookie safety, but he didn’t have enough snaps to qualify.
McKinney was the first safety taken in the 2020 NFL Draft. The second safety that was drafted was Kyle Dugger, who was taken right after him by the New England Patriots.
