Henry Hynoski cut by New York Giants

Giants move on from popular fullbacks

The New York Giants continued cutting ties with their past on Saturday, as multiple media reports indicated the team has released veteran fullback Henry Hynoski. That move comes one day after the team parted with veteran punter Steve Weatherford, meaning two of the last vestiges of their 2011 championship team are now ex-Giants.

The move also means it looks likely that fullbacks/special teams ace Nikita Whitlock will make the 53-man roster.

The popular Hynocerous made the Giants' roster as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh in 2011 and helped the team win a Super Bowl.
