New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman brought in kicker Marshall Koehn shortly after the regular season, and the two have been competing for the full-time position this offseason.
For Rosas, the job has always been his to lose. The 23-year-old out Southern Oregon connected on just 72 percent of his field goal attempts in 2017. However, he did show off his boot as a rookie, splitting the uprights on all three of his field goal attempts from 50-plus yards.
Rosas showcased his ability to connect from long range again last week, nailing a career-long 55-yard field goal against the Detroit Lions.
