Grant Haley will be promoted from the practice squad to the New York Giants’ 53-man roster on Tuesday, per a report from NJ Advance Media’s Matt Lombardo.
Mike Garafolo is reporting that the Giants will waive cornerback Donte Deayon to make room for Haley.
An undrafted free agent cornerback from Penn State, Haley impressed enough in the spring and summer to be kept on the practice squad. The 5-foot-9, 190-pound Haley is primarily a slot cornerback. B.W. Webb and Deayon have taken the majority of snaps in the slot for the Giants, and safety Michael Thomas has also spent some time there.
