Golden Tate posts good-bye message to Giants

News broke on Wednesday night that the New York Giants are releasing veteran wide receiver Golden Tate after two seasons with the organization.

The Giants signed Tate to a four-year, $37.5 million contract that included $23 million guaranteed in 2019. But he never lived up to that contract during his time with the Giants.

When the Giants signed Tate, he was supposed to be there replacement for Odell Beckham Jr. after they traded him to the Cleveland Browns. But it never worked out that way. He was suspended in 2019 for four games after violating the NFL’s performance enhancing drug policy.
