Those hallelujahs about the Giants being healthy at the beginning of the week have faded after just one practice.
Not only was Victor Cruz unable to even get to the team portion of Wednesday's workout, but Tom Coughlin said defensive end Robert Ayers Jr. had a setback with his hamstring about three-quarters of the way through practice, and he called left tackle Ereck Flowers "gimpy" because of his ankle injury.
The Giants won their first game of the season last week without Ayers and Flowers (and Cruz for that matter), but that's not how they would prefer to go through the season.
