For the fourth consecutive week, the New York Giants will be without veteran wideout Sterling Shepard. The fourth-year pro is still nursing a concussion sustained in the Week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
On Friday, the Giants cleared Shepard from the concussion protocol. However, symptoms returned this past weekend, which prompted Big Blue to make their ultimate decision on their No. 1 receiver.
“He practiced fully this week and was limited with no contact the two weeks before that,” head coach Pat Shurmur said, per the Giants official website.
