New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton is skipping voluntary workouts, per a report from ESPN.
Slayton, who signed a two-year, $12.2 million contract prior to the 2023 season, reportedly wants a contract extension beyond the 2024 season. He’s due to make $350,000 if he hits his attendance threshold for offseason workouts. He could, however, consider a contract extension to be worth the trade-off.
The Giants originally drafted Slayton in the fifth round (171st overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. He was a relatively unknown receiver out of Auburn, but his explosive athleticism made an impact on the Giants’ offense.
