The chances of Corey Clement or Gary Brightwell making the New York Giants’ final 53-man roster just increased.
The Giants announced on Thursday night that they’ve released running back Ryquell Armstead.
The Giants added Armstead earlier in the offseason after the Jacksonville Jaguars released him. They either made this move to free up a roster spot for another player or they’re not confident that he’ll be in the shape he needs to be in for training camp after missing last season due to COVID-19 complications.
With New York down to four running backs, I still think they will only keep three on their roster for the regular season and now it will come down to Clement and Brightwell.
