The New York Giants waived running back Deon Jackson with an injury designation prior to the start of their rookie mini-camp. Jackson, who cleared waivers and reverting to injured reserve, has now been waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement, per the league’s transaction wire.
Jackson, 25, had just one carry for 2 yards for the Giants last season. He appeared in only one game. Jackson also played for the Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts last season. The Giants acquired Jackson via waivers from the Browns.
Jackson has played in 29 NFL games, 27 of those with the Colts.
