New York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney sounded optimistic on Thursday that despite a spring and summer filled with stops and starts he will be ready to play in Sunday’s season opener vs. the Denver Broncos.
“I’m good,” Toney told media members at Quest Diagnostics Training Center.
The Giants’ first-round pick (No. 20 overall) has dealt with a number of issues since the Giants selected him after trading down from No. 11. He skipped voluntary OTAs, began training camp on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, then shortly after returning to practice suffered a hamstring injury, keeping him sidelined for the entire preseason.
