In honor of their 100th NFL season, the New York Giants are introducing ‘Century Red’ throwback uniforms.
A statement from the team indicates the uniforms could be worn twice during the 2024, though no indication was given as to which games those could be.
The Giants’ statement explains the inspiration for the uniform this way:
The uniform harkens back to the earliest days of the franchise and features tan pants; red socks with blue and white stripes from the team’s inaugural 1925 season; red jerseys accented with blue from 1933, when the Giants played in the first ever NFL Championship Game; and an iconic winged helmet honoring the 1938 champions as the Giants became a cornerstone in the foundation of the league.
