Mark Herzlich made a hit that drew a penalty flag last week in Detroit, a call he and his head coach, Pat Shurmur, did not agree with at all. There was plenty of discussion on social media about the play with regard to the NFL’s new helmet rule. Herzlich saw some of that reaction, but not much.
“I don’t have time to watch TV right now, so I don’t even know what they’re talking about,’’ Herzlich said.
This is the way of the world for Herzlich, who is looking to stick on the Giants’ roster for the eighth consecutive season.
