The New York Giants are heading into the upcoming NFL season with a solid center in Nick Gates. But it looks like they were trying to add some depth.
Field Yates of ESPN mentioned on Friday that the Giants put in a waiver claim for center Lamont Gaillard, who ended up being awarded to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Gaillard is a solid player that started two games for the Arizona Cardinals last season as a rookie.
With Jonotthan Harrison now on the PUP list for the Giants with a hamstring injury, I would imagine that New York was looking to add another player with training camp fully starting this coming week.
