Dave Gettleman’s Giants vision continues to take shape, and it does not include Jason Pierre-Paul.
The Giants GM is trading Pierre-Paul to the Buccaneers, ESPN.com reported.
Pierre-Paul and a fourth-round pick are headed to Tampa for third-rounder and a fourth-rounder — all in next month’s draft.
Pierre-Paul was becoming one of the most dominant defensive ends in the game before a July 4 fireworks accident that cost him his right index finger. He had regained most of his previous form the past two seasons, though, recording 15.5 sacks and signed a four-year, $62 million deal — $40 million guaranteed — before last season.
