The Giants have started the process of rebuilding their injury-ravaged wide receiver corps.
Darius Powe will be re-signed to the practice squad, according to a person familiar with the situation. Powe spent last season on the Giants' practice squad and had a strong start to training camp this year before suffering a hamstring injury and getting waived/injured on Aug. 23.
An injury settlement prevented the Giants from re-signing Powe until after Week 4. Powe remained in New Jersey and is now healthy, so his re-signing is logical after the Giants were decimated by injuries in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Chargers.
