The New York Giants have announced that tight end Levine Toilolo suffered a torn Achilles.
Media members in attendance at Wednesday night’s practice reported that Toilolo suffered a leg injury and was carted off the field.
The Giants primarily used Toilolo as a blocking tight end in 2020, making use of his uncommon size and strength for the position. The Giants were among the league leaders in multiple tight end sets between their use of 12 and 13 personnel packages.
The Giants have a crowded tight end position with six healthy tight ends on the roster before Toilolo’s injury.
