Tyler Sash, a safety who spent two seasons with the Giants, was found dead Tuesday morning, according to multiple reports.
He was 27. The cause of death was not yet known.
KCCI in Iowa reported Sash was found at home by a family member who came to walk his dog.
Sash played a combined 23 games with the Giants in 2011 and 2012, and was a part of the Super Bowl XLVI champions, after a standout college career at Iowa. He was suspended for the first four games of the 2012 season for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances; Sash said he took Adderall not knowing it was banned.
