The New York Giants had free-agent cornerback Jerraud Powers in for a visit late last week. He left without signing a contract, which doesn't rule out the possibility of him joining the Giants but also doesn't indicate their interest is all that intense. If this were a guy they really wanted, it's doubtful they'd have let him leave and look elsewhere.
Powers' visit brought to light a still-significant area of need for the Giants. Just because they signed cornerback Janoris Jenkins to a monster contract on the first day of free agency doesn't mean they don't still need help at the position.
