Giants Sign Safety Stevie Brown

The Giants have signed safety Stevie Brown today after Brown was released by the Houston Texans. Brown had spent the last 3 seasons with the Giants before he opted to sign a 1 year deal with the Texans in the off-season. Brown’s best season was in 2012 when he intercepted 8 passes. He missed all of 2013 with a torn ACL and did not play particularly well last season.

Brown was benched after 2 games in favor of Quentin Demps but regained his starting role in the latter part of the year. It is a possibility that Brown simply needed more time to recover from his knee injury and he came on slower then he expected.
