The New York Giants have finally gotten a contract extension done with defensive lineman Leonard Williams after it seemed like things were going nowhere.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Williams is signing a three-year, $63 million contract with $45 million gurranteed. So that is an average of $21 million a year, which is just over what he would have made this season on the franchise tag.
This move will now free up some cap space for the Giants to possibly sign wide receiver Kenny Golladay or edge rusher Hasson Reddick.
