The New York Giants have picked up Jeromy Miles, a safety who has earned his stripes by being a special teams standout for the Baltimore Ravens. This gives the Giants another interesting option in their secondary.
The Giants have the strong safety position locked down with rookie Landon Collins. The free safety position is anything but locked up. The Giants options at the position are Nat Berhe, Cooper Taylor, Josh Gordy and now Miles.
At worst Miles is a great tackling special teams player. The best case scenario sees him earning a starting job. While he only has a few starts and one interception on his resume, this is a player who has earned a shot the hard way.
