The New York Giants have signed cornerback Tony Lippett to the active roster. Lippett was reportedly already signed and in the locker room on Thursday morning introducing himself to his new teammates.

After the trade of Eli Apple, the Giants needed more depth in the secondary. Lippett, 6-foot-3, 192 pounds, was a fifth-round pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2015 and played under Giants current defensive backs coach Lou Anarumo.
