Giants sign former first-round pick Corey Coleman to practice squad

The New York Giants have signed former first-round wide receiver Corey Coleman to their practice squad.

Coleman was originally drafted by the Cleveland Browns 15 overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. At 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, Coleman doesn’t have the size of Cody Latimer — who was placed on the injured reserve earlier this week — but he has blazing 4.3 speed. The Baylor product was raw entering the league, never having run a full route tree. Coleman missed much of his first two seasons with a twice-broken hand which ultimately required surgery.
