The New York Giants have signed wide receiver Amba Etta-Tawo after holding a workout for veteran receivers on Saturday.
An undrafted free agent in 2017, the Giants originally signed Etta-Tawo to their practice squad in December of that year. Etta-Tawo became a fan favorite over the course of last year’s off-season, training camp, and pre-season.
Much of the excitement came from plays such as this one:
He was waived in the team’s final cut-downs but quickly signed to the Giants’ practice squad, where he spent part of the season.
The Giants’ receiving corps took a hit early in training camp when Sterling Shepard and Corey Coleman both suffered injuries in the team’s first full practice.
