The New York Giants announced on Tuesday that they’ve signed fourth round pick, edge rusher Elerson Smith.
The Giants have now signed Smith, Azeez Ojulari, Rodarius Williams and Gary Brightwell from this year’s draft class. They still need to get contract done for first round pick, wide receiver Kadarius Toney and third round pick, cornerback Aaron Robinson.
Smith is a talented player could end up competing for a starting spot after not playing college football in 2020 due to the pandemic. His school, Northern Iowa didn’t have a season, so he wasn’t on the field last season, which isn’t a bad thing because at least the Giants know he’s even more fresh after a year off.
