Giants shuffle practice squad, add offensive line depth

The New York Giants switched a pair of practice squad spots on Wednesday, adding a pair of rookie offensive linemen for depth.

The Giants added offensive tackle Garret Greenfield and offensive lineman Marcellus Johnson to the practice squad.

They released safety Gervarrius Owens and fullback Jakob Johnson to make room.

Greenfield, 6-foot-6, 310 pounds, played collegiately at South Dakota State. He joined the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent, but was waived at the end of the preseason. He spent a couple of days on Seattle’s practice squad, but has been looking for work since Aug.
