Eli Apple, welcome to the Big Apple.
The Giants drafted the former Ohio State cornerback Thursday with the 10th pick in the NFL Draft.
“It’s something I’ve been dreaming of and working towards all my life,” the Voorhees, NJ, native told The Post earlier this week. “You never expect to be in this moment.”
Giants GM Jerry Reese said Apple “has all the tools” and was the highest player on the team’s draft board “without issues.” That appears to be a reference to UCLA linebacker Myles Jack, who has degenerative knee problems, and Ole Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil, who was embroiled in a draft-night scandal when footage surfaced of him smoking a bong.
