The New York Giants earned a much-needed victory on Sunday, going on the road to defeat the Seattle Seahawks, 29-20.
The Giants are 2-3, while the Seahawks fell to 3-2.
Isaiah Simmons blocked a 47-yard game-tying field-goal attempt by Seattle’s Jason Myers. Bryce Ford-Wheaton scooped and scored to make it 29-20 with :55 to play.
“Massive play from Isaiah,” said Giants’ wide receiver Darius Slayton.
Simmons said after the game that he told his teammates before the play “I promise you I’m gonna block it.”
Head coach Brian Daboll said the Giants had been planning that jump play by Simmons since Tuesday.
