EAST RUTHERFORD -- Giants rookie running back Saquon Barkley did not log a single rep in full-team drills on Saturday, and after taking part in warmup and individual drills, was a spectator for the remainder of practice.
In Barkley's place with the first-team offense, Jonathan Stewart and Wayne Gallman split the snaps.
Earlier this week, Giants head coach Pat Shurmur explained that the team was monitoring Barkley's practice workload.
"We're just managing him like everybody," Shurmur said Friday afternoon. "He's had a really, really big workload. This was the day, for no reason other than just a little bit less.
