Remember when the Giants were strapped for salary cap space?
Not so much anymore.
The Giants begin Tuesday with $12,167,376 in available 2017 cap space, according to NFLPA records. That figure appears to take into account Jason Pierre-Paul's long-term deal, as well as new deals for right guard John Jerry and backup quarterback Josh Johnson.
That cap figure does not include the four new deals the Giants struck on Monday, though, when they re-signed linebackers Mark Herzlich and Keenan Robinson, and signed ex-Jets quarterback Geno Smith and cornerback Valentino Blake.
