Both are now on the practice squad.
The New York Giants Wednesday officially announced the return of two players who had previously been let go by the team. Tight end Matt LaCosse and safety Cooper Taylor are back with the team as members of the 10-man practice squad.
LaCosse was waived/injured after suffering a hamstring inury on the first day of training camp. Taylor a third-year player and fifth-round pick by the Giants in 2013, played in three games for New York this season before being released.
The Giants dropped offensive lineman Adam Gettis from the practice squad to make room.
