The dream for tight end Rysen John of going from a Division II school in Canada to the NFL appears to be over, at least for now. John, undrafted out of Simon Fraser University, is reportedly being waived/injured by the New York Giants to make room for long-snapper Carson Tinker.
John suffered an apparent hamstring injury in practice last week. He has not worked since.
The 30-year-old Tinker has been with the Jacksonville Jaguars since 2013. He spent two of the last three seasons on injured reserve.
