Defensive tackle Montori Hughes was one of the surprising cuts as the New York Giants pared their roster down from 75 to 53 at the end of the pre-season.
His agent made it known that he was re-signed Tuesday.

The move isn't a surprising one.
The Giants seemed to like Hughes, and he provides a much-needed backup for the massive Damon Harrison and John Hankins. Starting tackles John Hankins and Damon Harrison both played nearly 60 snaps against the Dallas Cowboys with waiver-wire acquisition Robert Thomas inactive due to illness.
