The New York Giants on Saturday activated linebacker Cam Brown from IR. Brown has been sidelined since the season opener with a hamstring injury. He takes the place of linebacker Justin Hilliard, who was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury on Friday.
Brown had emerged as a key special teams player for the Giants before his injury.
“He’s long, he’s explosive, he makes plays for us, he gives us versatility on defense and special teams,” said special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey. “Having a guy back like that with that kind of length, that type of explosiveness and production.
