It looks like Riley Dixon will have competition for the New York Giants punting job. The team is reportedly using one of its two newly-created roster vacancies on punter Taylor Symmank.
Symmank was with the Vikings during the 2017 preseason. The 25-year-old punted nine times for an average of 42.9 yards per punt, with five punts being downed inside the 20-yard line. His longest punt was 60 yards. Symmank has never punted in an NFL regular-season game.
Symmank punted collegiately at Texas Tech. He lost a competition for the Minnesota punting job last year with veteran Ryan Quigley.
