The New York Giants continued on Friday to add veteran depth to their roster, signing journeyman linebacker Matthew Adams.
Adams, 28, was a seventh-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2018. He has played in 85 regular-season games with 13 starts, while playing for the Colts, Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns.
Adams is a core special teams player. For the Browns last season, Adams played 435 special teams snaps (85%) while being on the field for only 97 defensive snaps. The most defensive snaps Adams ever played was 215 with the Colts as a rookie in 2018.
