After only one season together, the New York Giants announced on Wednesday that they were releasing cornerback Ryan Lewis.
After being undrafted in 2017, Lewis signed with the the Cardinals before he bounced around the league (including a stint with the Patriots when they went to Super Bowl LII). After being cut from the Washington Football Team prior to the 2020 season, Lewis signed with the Giants’ practice squad before being added to the starting roster in Week 3. In his five games and three starts, Lewis recorded 13 total tackles with 11 solos and only 1 pass breakup.
