The New York Giants will fill one of the two vacancies on their 53-man roster by promoting cornerback Brandon Dixon from their practice squad, per a report from ESPN’s Jordan Ranaan.
The Giants placed four players on IR Monday, including cornerback Donte Deayon. Janoris Jenkins is also dealing with an ankle injury, so they needed help at the cornerback position.
Dixon, 27, was a sixth-round draft pick by the New York Jets in 2014. He was cut by the Jets, but played in 14 games that season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
