We have the first surprise move of cut day when Ralph Vacchiano reported that the New York Giants have waived wide receiver Travis Rudolph.
Rudolph quickly became a fan favorite over the course of training camp and preseason despite being an undrafted free agent. The Florida State product is a fantastic young man with a big heart who tragically lost his father shortly before the 2017 NFL Draft, and an easy player to root for.
Rudolph reportedly played well in camp and seemingly had a breakout game in the third preseason game against the New York Jets, then backed it up with a strong game as a receiver and a blocker against the New England Patriots.
