Draughn is the fifth running back. That may or may not be a viable spot in regards to the 53-man roster. The Giants carried only four running backs in 2015, but they had five last year with Bobby Rainey serving as a special teamer for the most part. That could be the role Draughn is competing for, or the Giants may have something more in mind.
Draughn appeared in 16 games with one start for the 49ers, rushing for 196 yards and four touchdowns on 74 carries (2.6 yards-per). He also had 29 catches (on 36 targets) for 263 yards and two touchdowns.
