Pinkins got promoted from the Giants' practice squad last season and played on special teams in the final six games, including the playoffs. Pinkins' size and speed combination make him an ideal special teams player. He also has the versatility to play safety, cornerback and linebacker, so that adds value at the end of the roster.
The Giants signed Pinkins to their practice squad in Week 6 and he was promoted to the active roster in Week 13. He recorded one tackle in six games on special teams. He also got a handful of snaps as a blitzing safety against the Cowboys in Week 14.
